Have you ever heard about the horrific abuse dog owners do to their dogs? A dog found in North Carolina with severe second and third degree burns, other dogs dying of starvation while locked in their cages, and what about the dog owner that threw his dog down the stairs causing him to die? My brain can’t comprehend such things. My dog is like one of my children. I’ve heard stories about mothers abusing their children, and the children still wanting to be with their mom, they keep going back hoping to be loved. To be abused and still keep going back for more in hopes of being loved and not abused. As people, I don’t think we can comprehend the kind of love and loyalty our dogs have for us. Dogs have always been hailed as, “Man’s Best Friend.” There’s official reasons why an unwavering love and loyalty is beyond unconditional. A dogs love for their owner has to touch people’s heart. Even in the face of mistreatment or neglect, a dogs love is steadfast and a testament too deep for a human to understand. It’s an indescribable bond.

One of the most remarkable aspects of a dogs love is its no strings attached nature. Regardless of how they are treated, dogs continue to show affection, give endless kisses, explicit love, and the ability to remain loyal to their owners until the end. They great us with wagging tails and eager licks, those puppy dog shining eyes looking with adoration, even after a long day or a moment of frustration. The intense devotion is a powerful reminder of the purity of love that is unburdened by judgement, under no conditions. Is there a word more powerful than love? If so then that would be the word to describe a dog’s feelings towards its owner. Perhaps a more miraculous trait is a dogs ability to forgive and forget. Even if an owner is harsh, unkind, or tends to ignore them, a dog will forgive their owner instantly. They’re so eager to resume the bond that connects them. This kind of forgiveness is a reflection of a dog’s innate capacity for love and understanding, a quality that many humans could learn from. 

The loyalty of a dog knows no bonds. They stand by their owners through thick and thin, offering comfort, compassion, and a permanent support system. Whether if it’s a walk in the park, a snuggle on the couch, or a challenging time in your life, a dog is there constantly in order to bring you joy. They love to make their owners happy…they live for it.  The bond between a dog and its owner is so special, so unique, it’s a relationship built on trust, love, and understanding. Dogs have an incredible ability to sense out our emotions. They know when to comfort us when we’re sad. A dog loves to celebrate with their owner when they’re happy. Have you ever laughed at your dog doing something, and then they will keep doing it to make you laugh again? Their presence is a gift. 

It’s a remarkable relationship between a dog and its owner. Despite any hardship or challenges, a dog’s devotion remains tried and true. A dogs love is like a beacon of light in a dark storm in the world. It’s a dog’s destiny to cherish their relationship with its owner, as it should be the owners destiny to transcend the same. A dogs love and loyalty is so powerful, words couldn’t begin to describe. Humans can really learn a lot from dogs, especially when it comes devotion, reliability, appreciation, and friendship.
